Kenya is one of Africa's most connected countries — mobile money runs the economy — but the safari parks that bring most visitors are a different story.

Short answer: 5–8 GB covers a week in Kenya. Nairobi, Mombasa and the main highways are well covered; game reserves have signal at lodges and gates but not out on drives. Note that M-Pesa needs a local number — a travel eSIM will not give you one.
